The [AI Financial Cup] Chinese University Alumni Grass Volleyball Tournament, organized by the Xi’an University of Electronic Science and Technology Canada Alumni Association, was successfully held on August 24, 2024, at the Thornlea Secondary School sports field.
The event not only provided participants with a platform to showcase their volleyball skills but also promoted communication and collaboration among various alumni associations. The Chinese University Grass Volleyball Tournament has long been a traditional highlight within the university alumni community.
This year marked the fourth consecutive successful tournament hosted by the Xi’an University of Electronic Science and Technology Canada Alumni Association. A total of 30 teams representing 46 alumni associations participated. The teams were divided into four groups for the preliminary round, then advanced to Group A and Group B according to their results, where the champions, runners-up, and third-place winners were decided in each group.
In Group B, the South China Normal University team secured the championship, followed by Beijing Institute of Technology in second place, and the Chongqing University & Shanghai University of Sport joint team in third place.
In Group A, the Nankai University & Hainan Normal University joint team won the championship, Tianjin University claimed second place, and the Harbin Institute of Technology & Harbin Sports University joint team took third place.
